I tried to make Cookie Butter fudge from this recipe. It looked easy enough. I had all four ingredients and followed the instructions, but it never kept fudge texture. Out of the fridge it was gooey and melty. Well, shit!
That called for a trip to the bar.
I'm hardly gonna waste a drop of Cookie Butter, so I rolled them into balls that I planned to dip in chocolate. But, still they wouldn't keep their shape. Fuck. So I just melted the chocolate and drizzled it on top, flipped em over and drizzled the bottoms. I would maybe have covered them totally, but I didn't have enough chocolate. And since I was on glass two of the nog, I wasn't going out to get any. So they look a little like turtles, a little like turds and lot like delicious.
Maybe these little bon bons aren't a total failure, but instead a Christmas miracle.
They're not pretty, but they are freakin' delicious.
Have you discovered the joy of Trader Joe's Cookie Butter yet? Is it better than Biscoff spread? Do you eat it on anything specific, like, say, other than a spoon?
